Since 2005, 5TH CIRCLE THEATRE COMPANY, in cooperation with Page Two Cafe, has been presenting our Original Playreading Series as a way to give new plays and playwrights a chance to be heard out loud before they are sent out for publication, competition, or production. Focused on helping new playwrights and original plays get the time and attention they need to thrive, the playreadings allow playwrights to hear their words read, cold, by theatre professionals including actors, designers, directors, and even theatre audience members. After the reading, the plays are discussed by these same participants so that the playwright can get diverse and constructive help. All who appreciate theatre are invited to attend and participate.
